There may be a more up-to-date version of this file available for separate download at descent.aldel.com. Known Bugs in alOOF 0.8 (6/30/2006) ----------------------------------- Specifying a nonexistent hog file or directory in the file path will still cause a crash, and will prevent alOOF from starting up again. (Fix: Use regedit to edit registry key "HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/aldel/aloof/Settings/General/File path".) You can load an ORF file by typing its name or selecting "Files of type: all files (*.*)" in the load file dialog-- and then when you save, it will be saved in OOF format but with the ORF extension. "Prevent rolling" causes jerkiness. Not sure how functional points should be positioned for rotating & facing subobjects. Subobjects with some special properties are not rendered correctly. Mipmaps are generated from largest image, not taken from image files; if image files play tricks with mipmaps they won't look right. Procedural textures and special texture lighting properties are unsupported. Roundoff errors may accumulate to mess up rotational frames if there are a lot of rotations at odd angles. Not terribly fault tolerant. Most file-loading errors will no longer crash the program, but will result in incomplete loads, memory leaks, and who knows what else. Doesn't work in less than 16-bit color mode. Pasted or imported subobjects really should be automatically selected. "Vertex to origin" command is probably confusing; doesn't move functional points; should be unnecessary.
